Map Creation Guide
Start editing
/std wand create <map> New map
/std wand edit <map> Edit saved map
/std wand done Save and exit
/std wand cancel Discard changes
Only one editor per map at a time.
Markers and scan
Place markers with the hotbar items, then /std wand scan to rescan the area around you.
| Marker | Default block |
|---|---|
| Mob spawn | Green wool |
| Goal | Red wool |
| Player spawn | Light blue wool |
| Path | Stone bricks |
| Build pads | Yellow wool |
Change path/pad materials:
/std wand path STONE_BRICKS
/std wand pad YELLOW_WOOL
Route test
/std wand test Walk the route with a ghost mob
/std wand test stop Cancel the test
Map settings and waves
/std wand settings Opens the settings GUI
/std wand waves Same as settings → waves
Configure starting lives, gold, build time, intermission, difficulty, max players, and wave composition.
Arena protection
Protect the map from griefing outside of matches:
/std wand arena pos1|pos2 Set manual corners
/std wand arena auto Use auto bounds on save (default)
/std wand arena clear Clear manual corners
/std wand arena info Show current arena settings
/std wand arena flag blocks on|off|toggle
If you do not set manual corners, bounds are computed from spawn, goal, path, and pads plus editor.arena-padding in config.yml.
Checklist before saving
Run /std wand info or /std wand scan to see the map checklist. You need spawn, goal, a connected path, and at least one build pad.
Waves can be empty on first save — demo waves are added automatically if none are configured.
