World Mob Levelling

Every hostile mob is overridden with a level, scaling stats and drop tables shared across the world.

World Mob Levelling overrides 47 vanilla hostile mob types with MythicMobs entries. Each override carries its own base health and damage, a level modifier that grows those stats with level, and a scaling drop table that hands out extra XP and loot as level climbs. On top of the standard spawn, three optional rolls fire on every spawn: a rare Mini Boss roll, a rarer Elite Mini Boss roll, and an independent specialty stance roll that hands the mob one of thirty combat abilities. The three named boss types, Warden, Wither, and Ender Dragon, get scaling and drops only and do not take the Mini Boss, Elite, or specialty rolls.

How Levelling Works

Every vanilla hostile spawn is replaced by its MythicMobs override. The mob keeps its base type, model, and AI, and gains a level modifier that scales health and damage as level rises. A standard natural spawn keeps MythicMobs's default level of 1. Extra levels only get added when the mob rolls into the Mini Boss or Elite Mini Boss tier, which happens through the tier skill itself.

Health Scaling
Base health times a 1.0 level modifier, so health rises by 100 percent of base per extra level
Damage Scaling
Attack damage rises by a 0.01 level modifier, one percent of base per extra level
Loot Drops
Every override points at a scaling drop table that hands out extra XP and items as level climbs

Nametag shows the mob type in white followed by its current level in aqua
Level modifiers, base health, base damage, and drop tables live inside the pack's Mobs and DropTables files and can be tuned per mob type.

Mob Name Display

Every levelled mob wears its type and current level above its head. Mini Boss and Elite Mini Boss add a coloured tier tag in front of the name. If a specialty stance rolls on spawn the tag is replaced with the specialty's own name and icon:

Rarity Tiers

Standard

Levelled Mob

The default tier every natural spawn belongs to. Runs on the mob's override level with the pack's health and damage modifiers on top of its base stats.

0.05% Spawn Chance

Mini Boss

Rolls on spawn and adds 30 to 50 extra levels to the mob. Renames it with a red [Mini Boss] prefix, opens a red bossbar, equips diamond gear if it is a humanoid type, and prints a red chat announcement with the spawn coordinates to players within 50 blocks. Emits crimson particles while alive.

0.01% Spawn Chance

Elite Mini Boss

Rarer roll that adds 60 to 100 extra levels. Renames the mob with a purple [Elite Mini Boss] prefix, opens a purple bossbar, equips netherite gear if it is a humanoid type, and prints a purple chat announcement with spawn coordinates. Emits magenta particles while alive.

Rare Specialty Stances

Independent of the Mini Boss and Elite rolls, a 0.1% chance fires on spawn to lock the mob into one of thirty combat specialties. The specialty renames the mob and activates a stance-gated skill on either a timer or its next attack. Any hostile mob covered by the pack can roll a specialty, and a Mini Boss or Elite spawn can carry one alongside their tier tag. The bosses at the bottom of this page are excluded.

Projectile stances

Ice Shard slows on hit. Poison Dart poisons on hit. Explosive Shot deals 5 damage and a fake explosion on hit. Magic Missile deals 5 damage. Wither Skull applies wither on hit. Bounce Shot deals 4 damage and bounces. Frost Nova deals 6 damage and freezes for 60 ticks. Arcane Blast fires a burst of projectiles that damage and confuse.

On-attack effects

Poison Cloud, Weaken, Slow, Blind, Confusion, Curse, Levitate, and Stun apply their debuff on melee hit. Knockback throws the target back. Fire Burst deals 4 damage and ignites. Leap Attack leaps forward and deals 4 damage. Lightning Strike calls lightning and deals 6 damage. Drain Life deals 2 damage and heals the caster. Freeze Player slows heavily and spawns snowflakes.

Self buffs and defenses

Speed Boost, Regen Self, Heal Self, Invis Self, Shield Self, and Bloodlust apply their potion or heal to the caster on a timer. Thorns Defense hits attackers back for 3 damage on the way in. Burning Aura ignites any player within 3 blocks.

Supported Mob Types

Forty-seven vanilla hostile mob types are covered. Baby variants of Zombie, Drowned, Piglin, and Zoglin are listed on their own because the pack overrides them separately. Zombie Villagers are intentionally left alone due to a MythicMobs registry bug that logs an "Invalid villager type" error for any override.

Overworld types

Zombie, Baby Zombie, Giant, Husk, Camel Husk, Parched, Drowned, Baby Drowned, Zombie Nautilus, Zombie Horse, Skeleton, Stray, Bogged, Creeper, Spider, Cave Spider, Slime, Silverfish, Phantom, Witch, Breeze, Pillager, Vindicator, Evoker, Illusioner, Vex, Ravager, Guardian, Elder Guardian, Creaking

Nether types

Blaze, Magma Cube, Ghast, Hoglin, Zoglin, Baby Zoglin, Piglin, Baby Piglin, Piglin Brute, Zombified Piglin, Wither Skeleton

End and vanilla bosses

Enderman, Endermite, Shulker, Warden, Wither, Ender Dragon. The three named bosses use the same level modifiers and drop tables but skip the Mini Boss, Elite, and specialty rolls.

Configuration Notes

The pack ships as plain YAML. The Mobs file holds every override with its base health, base damage, level modifiers, options, and drop table reference. The skills folder holds the Mini Boss, Elite Mini Boss, and specialty stance definitions. Loot values for the two tiers sit inside their respective loot skills and can be swapped between the fixed random ranges and the commented-out level-scaling formulas that need MythicMobs 5.0.0 or newer.

  • Base health, base damage, level modifiers, and options per mob type.
  • Mini Boss roll chance, level range, and Elite roll chance and level range inside their skill blocks.
  • Specialty stance roll chance and the pool of thirty stance-gated skills.
  • Per-tier bossbar colour, particle colour, chat announcement, and equipment.
  • Scaling drop tables per mob type with per-item XP and level bonuses.

Requirements

MythicMobs needs to be installed. The pack leans on MythicMobs to pick which mob spawns, roll its level, and hand it its extra stats.

To install, drop the pack folder into your MythicMobs directory and reload the plugin. Any change you make to level ranges or multipliers picks up on the next spawn after a reload, so tuning does not need a full server restart.
