Troubleshooting

Short fixes by symptom. Full install steps: Getting Started.

Won’t enable / red plugin

1. Extract the .jar from the ZIP (do not leave the ZIP in plugins/).
2. Match SoapsCommon 2.0.x with suite builds that expect 2.0.x.
3. Full server restart (not /reload).
4. Search logs/latest.log for SoapsCommon.

Library-only installs may create no plugins/SoapsCommon/ folder. That can be normal. Suite plugins with no data folder usually mean the jar never enabled.

Pattern	Likely cause
Suite red, Common green	That plugin’s own depend or soft dep failed
Suite red, no Common	ZIP left in plugins, or Common missing / wrong major

Menus do not open

• gui.enabled: true in the consumer plugin’s config.yml
• Syntax errors in that plugin’s GUI YAML
• Permissions for the open command / action nodes

Event will not start

• Validation lore: missing step, unknown world, unavailable soft plugin
• Only if failed (message names the rule)
• Staff-start (when: manual) needs Start, not only Enable → FAQ
• Blank locations: stand at the spot and type here

Money / Mythic / region unavailable

• Install the soft plugin, then restart → Vault Setup · MythicMobs Setup · WorldGuard Setup

After update

• Jar upgrade needs a full restart
• Live engine.yml / pools.yml / custom showcases are not overwritten
• Missing showcase files still copy in when absent → Upgrading to 2.0.1

/soaps does nothing
