Troubleshooting

Short fixes by symptom. Install: Getting Started. Free vs Premium: Introduction.

Won’t enable / red plugin

1. Extract the .jar from the ZIP.
2. Install SoapsCommon.
3. Full server restart.
4. Search logs/latest.log for SoapsQuest / SoapsCommon.

No plugins/SoapsQuest/ folder means the plugin never enabled.

Core loop broken

Symptom	Try
No paper on give	Quest id missing / disabled; /sq list
Progress stuck	Wrong objective type or target; check Objectives
Cannot claim	Paper not complete; right-click the finished paper
Lore not updating	Held paper; chests pause tracking

Free vs Premium confusion

Symptom	Cause
No /sq generate / editor / contract	Free jar installed
Premium files missing	Still on Free; Premium creates them on first Premium enable
Expected Premium after upgrade	Full restart with Premium jar only

Optional systems weird

Symptom	Try
Money rewards fail	Vault + economy → Integrations
Citizens NPC silent	Linked id and Citizens installed
Generator “no options”	Objective weight / template in random-generator.yml → Random Quest Generator
SoapsCommon version warning	Update Common; newer Common is fine for a minimum requirement

After update

Jar upgrades need a full restart. See Upgrading to 1.0.7.
